HOP Bedforshire Location
HOP are owners of the 143-acre site around 6 miles south of Bedford, United Kingdom. Within easy reach of this commuter belt town to the north of London, the site is well-connected to primary road, rail, freight and airport transportation networks and is within 45 minutes of London by road, and less by rail. Access to most of southern England, the Midlands and the North East is also simple thanks to the proximity of major arterial motorways. The location turns a vast array of accessible shooting locations into very realistic possibilities.
We identified and bought the HOP site because it is near enough to all of the access points and facilities needed to feed a production site, but simultaneously affords enough space to create a masterplan which can accommodate a huge range of services. The natural setting and extensive infrastructure also reinforces sustainability targets - With travel and transport representing likely the single greatest carbon contributor for production facilities, we aim to minimise travel and then encourage crews to make themselves at home once here.
Talk to us
HOP takes its place in Bedfordshire for an array of reasons, but not least because it maintains the dual benefits of being within easy reach of London whilst offering its open, natural bowl in which to build.
The HOP team loved the fact that the area will embrace its visitors and can offer facilities to rival just about any location in the UK. This is allied to the possibilities identified in supporting local communities, developing the arts scene and reinforcing the economy for the area.
